Of School And People.

For the first time this year, having botched all of our previous Biology, Chemistry, and Physics experiments, today it seems we proved that the best was yet to come, as we made our first successful experiment yet. Which was an electrical circuit equipped with an Am and Volt meter, to study the Current to it's Potential difference and whatnot. Taking a step back from the high fives, and joyous celebrations of our successful experiment, i noticed of how all of us were not much different from how we were during primary school. We made as much noise (more, in my case), and laugh the same way. Earlier in the day, Mr Revee who happened to come by the class, took the time to state how happy he was seeing the improvements in our student body. By saying these words, he gave the class (or at least me) the motivation we needed, like he always did during his 2 years of teaching our classes. However, i don't think improvement would be the proper word, seeing as it wasn't the attitude of our students that needed changing. It was the determination that needed a boost jab. And as we've grappled our way into the final year of secondary school, it would be fair to say that each of us has changed alot, yet stayed the same nerdy goofs.

The year 2001 served as my fifth year here in Malaysia. And although i did learn the language, it wasn't of any practicality until i enrolled into my first year of primary school. I only served through 5 months of kindergarten, which explains my incapability to make connections with any other person at those early ages. And having enrolled in a school with Malays as the 98% majority, my language skills were put to the test. The first few weeks were utterly tragic, as i could barely even understand the terms or slang that everyone else was speaking of. Heck, i could barely even count in the language. But my failure in fitting in is not the point of focus here, as i am writing these words not to describe myself. But to reminiscence the people i've known in the past, describe their characters, traits, and in the end of this expedition, sum everything up as how they've helped me get to where i am ;) . A friend of mine, Zafi, of whom is a huge fan of literary arts, and has been supporting my interest in arts, gave me this idea. So from now on; alongside my usual -less-than-daily- posts, i'll be writing up these historic events at intervals of at least once a week. And in each week, i'll be describing more recent arcs of my life, and the people i've met along the way.
